Fisheries

Lakes Entrance is the gateway to one of the biggest fishing industries in Australia. Navigator North is one of the projects located closest to Lakes Entrance. We recognise and respect the work and legacy of generations of locals who invested and work in the fishing industry.

Our engagement with commercial fishers commenced in 2024 and we will continue to seek to better understand their day-to-day operations, catches and best fishing areas so that we can consider the future of the fishing industry in our project design.

Navigator North’s marine surveys will commence in 2025, and we will work with local fishers to minimise any disruption to their activities while this work is undertaken.
